Photos: Giant Jellyfish Invade Japan's Waters

Nomura jellyfish are the giants among their species. They can grow up to six feet in diameter, and weigh more than 450 pounds each. Brainless, bloodless and heartless, Nomura "blooms" have become a major menace off the coast of Japan. Aside from their painful stings, these jellyfish are threatening Japan's multi-billion dollar fishing industry. "Monster Jellyfish" premieres on Thursday, May 19 on NatGeo WILD. Catch a sneak preview on "Nightline" tonight at 11:35 p.m. ET/PT.
