Wayward penguin released south of New Zealand

Crew of the New Zealand research ship Tangaroa watch on as the emperor penguin nicknamed "Happy Feet" prepares to return to the Southern Ocean east of Campbell Island, on Sept. 4. Happy Feet, the lost penguin who became a worldwide celebrity after he washed up on a New Zealand beach was released backto begin a long swim home to Antarctica.Free at last. The wayward emperor penguin dubbed "Happy Feet" is back in the ocean south of New Zealand.
