Never too late: Declaration signers being honored

The tomb of William Whipple is seen in the Old North Burial Ground in Portsmouth, N.H., June 30.�Whipple was one of the lesser-known signers of the Declaration of Independence, but he and others will be honored with a bronze plaque at his gravesite if a group of descendants of the Founding Fathers gets its way.This year, there are plans for lesser-known signers of the Declaration of Independence to be honored for their place in history with plaques at their gravesites or homes.
